Transport company
A transport company (= the carrier) ensures the transport of goods from the manufacturer to the distributor or supplier, and then to the end customer—it depends on how many subcontractors the logistics chain includes. Transport is most often provided by own capacities (own vehicles), in contrast to a forwarding company. The transport company thus enters into contractual relations with customers and recipients in its own name and at its own risk.
